Scheduling

Schedule a holiday or workspace closure

Close your whole workspace for a date range, review affected classes and bookings, and optionally pause monthly student billing.

Workspace owners can schedule and manage closures.

Choose the closure dates

Both dates are included, and the range uses your workspace timezone. New holidays must start tomorrow or later and cannot overlap another holiday.

A closure applies to the whole workspace, not an individual course, teacher, or classroom. It covers scheduled classes, bookings, and membership access hours.

  1. 1

Open Settings → Workspace and find Workspace closures.

  2. 2

    Select Schedule closure.

  3. 3

Enter a Closure name, such as Winter break.

  4. 4

Choose Starts and Ends, then optionally add an Internal note.

Choose whether to pause monthly billing

Under Pause monthly student billing, review each month touched by the closure. Leave a month unchecked to continue monthly billing, or select it to pause monthly class and membership charges for that whole month.

You can newly select only future months. The current month and earlier months have already entered their billing window.

Eligible future months with more than seven closure days are checked by default. Review the selections before saving. A full month of closure is not required, and you can also select a month with fewer closure days.

A month already paused by another holiday cannot be selected again.

The pause affects monthly class and membership billing across the workspace. It does not calculate a partial discount based on missed lessons or pause your clssrm subscription.

Example: a break across two months

You schedule a December 24–January 6 closure in November. December has eight closure days, so it is checked by default; January has six, so it is not. You can change those selections.

Selecting December pauses December's whole monthly charge, not just the portion covering December 24–31.

Review and confirm

Affected sessions and bookings are cancelled. Cancelled bookings remain visible in their rosters for history. Pending drop-in charges associated with the cancellations are voided.

For selected billing months, pending monthly class and membership charges are voided, and new charges for those months are suppressed. Paid charges remain recorded for you to review; the closure does not automatically refund payments.

Students are not automatically notified, and cancellations do not automatically create replacement entitlements.

  1. 1

    Select Review closure.

  2. 2

Check the affected sessions, bookings, membership access hours, and charges.

  3. 3

Select Back if you need to adjust the dates or billing selections.

  4. 4

Select Schedule closure to apply the closure.

Check the closure

Open Calendar and find the Closed marker on the affected dates. Select it to see the closure dates and whether monthly billing continues or is paused.

In Settings → Workspace → Workspace closures, select Details to review affected sessions and access their rosters.

Edit or remove a closure

Before a holiday starts, you can change its dates or delete it. Once it starts, the start date is locked and deletion is unavailable. You can change the end date, but cannot move it before today. After the holiday ends, both dates are locked.

Past billing-month selections are locked. An existing pause for the current month can be removed, but cannot then be newly added again.

When dates are reopened, eligible future sessions, bookings, and membership access hours are restored. Independently cancelled items remain cancelled.

Drop-in charges voided by the closure stay void, even if their bookings return. Review them separately.

Removing a billing pause resumes eligible monthly charges while preserving manual adjustments. Students or memberships that were separately paused, ended, or otherwise became ineligible are not automatically restarted.

  1. 1

    Select Edit beside the holiday.

  2. 2

Make your changes, select Review closure, then Apply changes.

  3. 3

To remove a holiday before it starts, select its delete button and confirm Delete closure.
